Cathedral Bas Apartments Barcelona Review
We stayed at Cathedral Bas Apartments which was an Apart-hotel. It was right in the center of the gothic quarter of Barcelona or Barri Gotic. The apartment was pretty perfect for a couple of days in Barcelona. It was easy walking distance to a ton of places. One of the kids’ favorite things is just across the street from the apartment; there was a small park next to an outdoor restaurant. Every day, sometimes more than once, we took a break for the kids to play in the park. I spent a pleasurable afternoon watching the kids play and listening to the live music from the nearby restaurant. You can see a clip of that afternoon here. Make sure the sound is one so you can hear the wonderful music. When the camera pans to the right, you can see balconies from the Cathedral Bas Apartments.
The apartment had a bedroom, bathroom, and a large living area. The living area included a fully stocked kitchen, dining table and sofa area for watching TV. The kitchen had a full-size fridge and freezer, 4 ring stove-top, oven, microwave, washer, toaster, kettle and coffee maker. It also had a small balcony with 2 chairs and a small table, perfect for enjoying a cup of tea or coffee. The bathroom was perfect with kids as it included a shower / tub combo as well as a bidet for those who want one. Other amenities included complementary coffee and tea in the room, safe, hair dryer, and plenty of linens. The sofa also folded out into a bed which was ideal for the kids.
The apartment also had a rooftop pool area, but being November, it was too cold for us to enjoy. Though I imagine it is pretty wonderful in summer with a beer or a glass of Sangria.
Service was great. We arrive early and left our luggage in the office while we wandered the city. Later, we had a small problem with the in room safe and they were only too eager to assist. On our departure, they arranged taxis to take us to the port and our cruise ship.
If you want to stay the heart of the city, I would highly recommend it.
Major thankies for the article. Much obliged. Escobedo
